The past weekend found me playing guitar all by myself both evenings....
Friday at Carlo & Johnny's, where I played frequently with "the Shoes' (now reborn as the 'Brian Geoffries Group') a dozen years ago. Nice place, and very nice group of people!
Saturday, I played inside (due to rain) at the Verdin Bell Center, but the Newburg Trio (with most excellent guitarist Matt Deely in my place) had no alternative rain location, and had to wait out the weather to play in a high wind that blew over music stands, so they played by ear most of the time. We're a hearty, intrepid people, we Newburgers.......
