A FEW THOUGHTS:
-Don't be shy about asking for special request songs- Just because something is not on our regular playlist doesn't mean that we won't have the music on file. Also, we're pretty good about being willing to write custom arrangements for weddings.
-For the bridal processional- Process rather slowly. Milk the moment - just a bit!
-On the other side of that coin- if you have many bridesmaids processing a long distance, maybe don't have each wait until the other reaches all the way to the front. Maybe halfway. Or 2/3....
-You can save a little money (not very much) by searching colleges for undergraduates who'll play at weddings cheaply. Most likely you'll get musicians who've played at very few weddings. The bridal processional is one of the profound moments of your life. Entrust it's musical accompaniment to folks who have played at hundreds and hundreds of weddings, and who understand that this is a hugely important event for it's participants and loved ones. It's not JUST a gig.
