Comments from past clients:

someone posted this on one of my youtube videos- I played at her wedding and didn't even know it until later! (didn't get paid, either....):

Thank you! You don't know me but you saved my wedding! Our guitarist and back up guitarist were not able to play. I have enjoyed you playing this time and again. We brought our laptop and you serenaded me as I made my way down the isle:) A million times thank you.

Batesville Memorial Public Library - After Hours Concert Archives :

The October After Hours Concert crowd thoroughly enjoyed the varied musical selections performed by The Newburg Trio. Songs by such varied artists as Bizet, Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith, and a rousing rendition of "That's Amore!" sung by the audience, made for a memorable evening. We hope to see this talented group again soon.

A. and I are still away on our Honeymoon, but I just wanted to say a very quick thank you for everything you and the rest of your group did for our wedding. You guys sounded amazing and I heard numerous compliments from people about how elegant you sounded.
I thought you sounded incredible and I think the three of you did a fantastic job. We really appreciate you being a part of our special day.
MW, groom

We just wanted to thank you and your trio for playing at our wedding and
reception on Saturday. The music was great and everyone enjoyed
it. Thanks for making our wedding a great one!
DG/KM-bride and groom

B,
This song is beautiful. I also love Holst- (from) Jupiter. Thanks for you help. I am really excited about the options you have provided. They are perfect.
(A.R.)

I was extremely impressed with Brian and Amy. They were the highlight of
my wedding and reception. I especially appreciated their impromptu rendering
of My Old Kentucky Home for our first dance. They were pleasant,
professional, and played well.
C...(groom- Wright Patterson AFB)

I found the Newburg Trio who sounded great and the price was right. Brian was great to work with and always replied to my emails quickly. He gave great advice on songs to use some I never even thought of. We used two songs that he had made special arrangements for for previous weddings and they sounded fabulous. I specifically remember the bridesmaids walking down the aisle to the Feather Theme from Forrest Gump and how awesome it was!

I was SO glad to book this! I love the classical guitar/cello/violin combo! It's perfect for us, and at a really reasonable price!!

Dear B,G, and others,
Just had to drop you a line today and say how wonderful you were. You have a passion for the music you play and it was so obvious to everyone there. My son’s father-in-law plays the piano and he kept commenting on your musicianship. Having you there was the icing on the cake for sure! Will spread the word at work and among friends hoping that will result in phone calls to you in the future. Thanks again.
D. D. (mother of groom, Loveland, OH)

Thank you for a beautiful performance. Bravo!!!! I'm just sorry I didn't get a chance to thank you in
person. Thanks again, B (mother of bride- Wilmington, OH)

Brian,
I wanted to take a minute now that I am back to work to let you know
that everyone really enjoyed the music! The “cowboy” bunch that sat across the room from you could not say enough about how much they
liked the music (which surprised me since it is not normally something
that they would listen to) and said that you did a really GREAT job on
the country songs you did. I unfortunately did not get to listen as much
as I would have liked because I was going here and there all night long.
I just really wanted to thank you and let you know just how much EVERYONE
enjoyed the music.
B. & T. G. (bride and groom, Erlanger, KY)

B, Thanks again for making L & D’s wedding beautiful…
-JB

B, I want to thank you for the magnificent job you did at our party. You provided just the right atmosphere and ambiance. Many of the members as well as guests spoke to me praising your work.
CJ

NewburgTrio,
Thank you- the music was terrific!
J (bride)

B & S,
Thank you both soooo much. You were GREAT.

Thank you so much for entertaining everyone at our daughter’s wedding reception. Your music made the reception an elegant event.

After last year’s concert, WGUC was flooded with requests from summer brides-to-be to book them for weddings.

Dear Brian,
Again I can't say enough about how wonderful the music was for my Wedding Luncheon. I will certainly continue to sing your praises and recommend you to everyone.
Thanks again and take care,
D K

Your music was unbelievably beautiful and calming for me during the rain
situation.
I appreciate your flexibility and positive attitude in changing according to
the needs.
Once the rain stopped, everything went beautiful and all the guests had a
wonderful evening.
Thanks again for being both an awesome person and guitarist.
BLB, M.O.B.

We had an outdoor ceremony - but Brian brings speakers. I think he has a cordless which he used at my ceremony, and a regular one that he uses when he can run power.
I can't speak for how he would sound in a church, but he was perfect for my outdoor ceremony, and plenty loud.
He was very nice and accomodating, and the music sounded wonderful :)
J, bride

Brian and his cellist Amy did a great job at our wedding. He wrote a custom arrangement for us (Main Theme from The Notebook) but I used some of the traditional stuff too. A good repetoire of musical selections.
We used him in our outdoor ceremony, too. We seated them at the back (because he requires shade for the instruments) and even left the fountains running. I could hear the guitar/cello duet perfectly from up front.
CL- bride

they did a wonderful job! I got to hear them playing in our video and they were great! Very affordable compared to other trios and Brian was great to work with.

Dear B.,
S. and I never got the chance to properly thank you for playing at our wedding. Everyone commented on how beautiful the music was. We are so appreciative that you were so accommodating to all our strange musical tastes. Thank you so much!
L.S., groom

Brian,
I just wanted to let you know you guys were great at our -/-- wedding. I’m sorry I did not get the chance to speak with you, things went so fast! It was wonderful and I just wanted to thank you.

Ceremony Musicians_Brian Deyo (Cello and Guitar duo)-----A+ -his duo was a beautiful addition to our ceremony. He was great to work with and gave great recommendations.
A.M. bride

We used Brian Deyo (guitar/cello) and were so incredibly pleased! Brian was a pleasure to work with and even wrote a custom arrangement of a very unusual song for my processional as a surprise to DH. If you're looking for something special (like that song), Brian is definitely your guy.
RC, bride

Ceremony music: Brian Deyo-- Newburg Trio (guitar, cello, violin)
Planning process: 10
Day of: 10

Andy really wanted a trio so I looked into a lot of different groups. I found the Newburg Trio who sounded great and the price was right. Brian was great to work with and always replied to my emails quickly. He gave great advice on songs to use some I never even thought of. We used two songs that he had made special arrangements for previous weddings and they sounded fabulous. I specifically remember the bridesmaids walking down the aisle to the Feather Theme from Forrest Gump and how awesome it was! The contract specific that they will stay for a postlude of 10 minutes. We did a short receiving line so it took at least 20 minutes for everyone to exit, all of which the trio stayed for, with out me asking.
The songs we used in our ceremony were: Ave Maria (seating of the mothers), Feather Theme from Forrest Gump (processional), Canon in D (bride processional), The Prayer (lighting of the unity candle), Alla Danza (recessional).
JH, bride

Ceremony Musicians - Brian Deyo (Newburg Trio) - VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND
DH and the vast majority of our bridal party/guests are professionally-trained musicians (sadly, we don't have any friends who play strings!). I contacted Brian a few months before the wedding and he was an absolute delight to work with in coordinating the music for the ceremony (guitar, cello, violin). He is just a genuinely nice, laid back guy with a great personality. All of our guests just raved about the music and DH and I could not have been happier!
(L H., bride)

Music, Brian Deyo with Newburg Trio - A
Although I don't really remember hearing the music that day, because of everything going on, I know they did a wonderful job! I got to hear them playing in our video and they were great! Very affordable compared to other trio's and Brian was great to work with.

Ceremony Musicians_Brian Deyo (Cello and Guitar duo)-----A+ Although I was so busy that I never actually met Brian, his duo was a beautiful addition to our ceremony. He was great to work with and gave great recommendations.

Hi, Brian,
I just wanted to send you a quick email and thank you so, so much for performing at my wedding. You all did an AMAZING job. Everyone loved it. Thank you so much.
R H, bride

I wanted to thank you for playing at our wedding last month - it sounded FANTASTIC, we were both so happy with our choice in having you play guitar for the ceremony, and we loved how it sounded in the space. I just wish Greg and I could have heard more of you playing the pre-ceremony music, and I'm hoping some of it will be included on my wedding video when I finally get to see it! Once our crazy schedules slow down, we'd love to come check out one of your gigs.
-MGS, bride

Brian,
Your and Amy's guitar & cello music was a perfect fit for the Laurel Court setting. J M thinks you'll be getting some business from this exposure. She said was talking to someone from a business group who said how much they liked your music and might call on you to play for some of their events.
You were great sports to perform in the beastly heat and humidity. None of us knew what we nor you would be getting into...with the lack of electricity, A/C and amplification. But I do know that hearing your music really helped me chill out. It was so soothing & elevating....just what we all needed, given the unexpected adverse working conditions of the day.
Again, THANK YOU! It wouldn't have been much of an event without your music!

Brian,
I’m sorry it has taken me a while to write you, but I wanted to pass on my sincere thank you for the beautiful music from the Newburg Trio for our wedding ceremony. Wow… it was just absolutely gorgeous. So elegant, simple, and beautiful. It exceeded my expectations, which were already pretty high based on your samples on the website!
I have heard SO many comments, especially, about Edelweiss, during the Preparation of the Gifts. When I first clicked on that sample on the website, it just resonated with me. I’m a huge Sound of Music fan anyway, but just the melody and the way your Trio played it – it evoked the exact emotion in me that I hoped to inspire in our guests. And it certainly did that. People are still bringing that up to me to this day!
So thank you so much for your performance and for being so easy to work with. I found your information on the St. Ursula website (for alumnae weddings in the chapel), and I am certainly going to pass on my recommendations for your great work to anyone I know who may be looking for beautiful music for a wedding ceremony or similar type of event. My very best to you and the rest of the Trio!

Ceremony Music-Brian Deyo (Cello and Guitar Duo): A+
Brian and Amy were awesome! I didnt really get to meet them personally but the music was great! All of the songs were exactly what i needed and they started and cut off at perfect times. I love the unique combination of instruments. Brian was always really easy to get ahold of.
A M, bride

Live Music: Brian Deyo (cello and guitar duo).10/10 Probably the most professional and easy to work with vendor throughout. Guests loved the music. They are very, very good, and they know about every song there is (plus they can learn new songs for you).
Ceremony Musicians: Brian Deyo and Amy Gillingham (Cinci)Grade: A+
I got the name of these musicians from my DOC and listened to several of their samples. Brian is very responsive and easy to get a hold of, and even added new samples to his website based on my requests. I am now obsessed with his website and youtube channel and can't wait to hear my ceremony music.
-MD bride

Thanks again for the great music last night! Everyone (including me) thought you and Amy did an outstanding job! You and Amy will certainly be at the top of my list the next time we have an event.
MF, Bethesda Foundation

Brian,
You were all wonderful- thank you! We had so many compliments, and will definitely recommend you. Thanks again!
